We have two goodies from the New Zealand Listener. The October 6-12 2007 issue has a review of the tv show and a short interview with Rhys Darby. Good stuff.
Jon Stewart’s Busboy Productions will be offering up Important Things with Demetri Martin late next year, a variety/sketch-comedy show featuring the 34-year-old New Yorker’s stream-of-consciousness musings on life.
Darby, a London-based New Zealander, will play Norman, the boss of Jim Carrey’s character Karl in the loan company where he works. He landed the role on the back of the success of HBO series Flight Of The Conchords, in which he plays Murray, the hapless manager of the New Zealand folk parodists.
Yes, I know I said I was going to relax but I saw this and had to post it. Rhys posted a link in his blog to an interview he did with Armchairs and Earphones. Funny stuff. I’m also very intrigued by the news that he might be returning to the States soon..I wonder why?? [...]
