Apparently, our Brety was a judge at the 2008 Cuervo Black US Air Guitar Championships Presented By TouchTunes.
Entertainment Weekly’s PopWatch has an excellent write up of the evening. Quote:

McKenzie went on to turn his nose up at virtually everyone who took the stage — “Turns out Bret’s kind of a dick,” mused Türoque at one point — but rather than simply being snooty, it later became apparent that he was just saving his approval ammo for when it would blow our effing minds.

The best name of the night, Sly Dingdoor, received the lowest marks of all with a miserable combined score of 12.2. Kiwi Bret McKenzie (”The Flight of the Concords”) dealt him an all-time low “four-point-fuckall.”

When Bret McKenzie burned one of our contestants real bad, a response came from the stage: “I prefer showtime!” Proops, defending his comrade, retorted “you should, I’m sure you’ve installed it enough times.” Maybe you had to be there.
