Becca on the set of Gentlemen Broncos

First of all, I want to thank the lovely Becca for writing in. I appreciate hearing from anyone who may be reading my little fan site. I’m still trying to catch up on email from the Contact page. I ‘m not having the best luck with email lately.. My Wordpress plug-in wasn’t working correctly again and I wasn’t getting my email. I really just thought no one was writing! Fortunately, I upgraded the plug-in and it now sends me email. So, write in! I might take a little time to write back but I will if I can.

Anyway, back to Becca. She was lucky enough to be an extra in the new Jared Hess movie, Gentlemen Broncos. She was also lucky enough to meet Jemaine and get a few photos with him! Preface to the photos: the extras were asked to dress like nerds so that’s why she is dressed like that. I think she looks like a pretty cool “nerd”. (I have a sweater just like that… :/ ) :D

From Becca:

3/19/2008

We began filming at around 7 am. This day we were filming a scene at the 17th Annual Cletus festival (a writing festival). We were in a big auditorium practising clapping and cheering for when Dr. Ronald Chevalier (Jemaine’s character) came out on stage. At this point, Jemaine was not there. I was looking around the whole time waiting, and hoping he would be there that day. And lo and behold, after filming for about 2 or so hours, I saw Jemaine. I jumped out of my seat and ran over. There was one other guy asking for his autograph as well. So i poked him in the arm and asked him if he would sign and autograph and take a picture with him. He was extremely nice and said yes. We chatted for a bit about how he was liking his time in utah. I got three pictures with him. Well actually it was two videos and a picture. My camera was on the wrong setting, I started getting very embarrased, but Jemaine just laughed and said it was okay.
I ended up staying for 16 hours of filming. And I was totally star struck the whole time. Jemaine was very nice, and down to earth, and I would even say he was shy. A few other people when up and talked to him, but for the most part, most of the extras didn’t know who he was. We had a few other scenes with him where he was standing at a table where the people at the festival were submitting their stories to be published, as well as him making a speech on stage at the festival (the speech was hilarious! I was trying not to laugh most of the time. It was funny hearing him speak with a different accent then the regular new zealand). At the end of filming they annouced it was Jemaine’s last day of filming, so we call clapped. It was so exciting to watch him act, and be in the same room as him! It was a little nerve racking because the extras had a few ‘real’ scenes and he was about 15 feet away from us watching beside the director Jared Hess. But, it was great! The whole crew and cast members were all so nice. No was was snobby or thought they were better than us at all. I spoke with most of the actors, and everyone was just so great. It was an awesome experience.

Many thanks to my new best friend Becca!! ;) Thank you Becca!

It is so nice to be reminded how sweet the boys are to fans.

If you have a sec..take the poll:

Which is hotter on Jemaine?
