New Zealand Herald heaps praise on the Conchords

The New Zealand Herald named the Flight of the Conchords the number 1 “local talent who made the most significant contributions to our year in entertainment”. Also on the list is the very talented Taika Waititi, whom came in at number 3.

More Nominations for the guys

Scoop.co.nz reports the guys have been nominated for an award at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards. Actually, it looks like Rhys Darby has been nominated for 2 awards, to be held at The Classic Comedy and Bar on December 16th in New Zealand.
The Conchords will be “competing” against Rhys Darby in one category:

It’s a Xmas miracle

How long have we been waiting for the new CD?? Ages, it seems..but my Christmas prayers have been answered. The Hollywood Insider has news that the Conchords will release their first (does Folk the World not count?) full-length album on April 22, 2008! So much to look forward next year.. Also, Inside.. More Nominations for the Boys..
