Bret shares a L.A. secret

Calendarlive :: LA has a fantastic article on the secret LA and the stars who traverse there. Where can you get the best Mexican food? Best place to have a drink? Our own Bret shares his favorite place to eat.. but if you read the BlackBook Magazine article you already knew the name of this place. ;) Photo by davidg on Flickr

One-half of musical-comedy duo Flight of the Conchords

There’s a cafe in Griffith Park called Trails. It looks like a ranger station. They sell organic, healthy food. You sit at picnic tables — it feels like you’re camping. I want to do a Conchords concert there.

    Hi Nicole,

I love the new version of the site. By the way, I am “across the pond.” and I’m excited about the EvsS DVD release, but when I went to Amazon to pre-order (which is now an option) I saw this statement at the bottom: Important notice” This disc is a hi-definition disc and is compatible only with Blu-Ray players. It will NOT play on a standard DVD player. I am not ready to invest in a Blu-Ray player yet. Not only do they start around $400 plus, but I like to wait until the price comes down on new electronics, the bugs are worked out and extra features added. I wonder if any ordinary versions are available and where? Thanks.

    Hi Mermaid,
According to Karen at Buena Vista Home Entertainment, they are showing a January 8, 2008 release date in regular DVD format. I’m not sure why Amazon is showing Blu-Ray as BV doesn’t have it listed as a HD release. When I get more information I’ll post ASAP!
