Oh my, Deanna, yes indeed — *yummy* is truly accurate! I clicked on that DListed link (thank you, thank you, thank you, Nicole ), and literally caught my breath — as I do every time I see that beautiful face (or that equally beautiful body)!

In fact, just so you’ll know you’re not the only lunatic out there, here’s an ecstatic rant I posted to IMDb’s “Jemaine Clement” forum back in July (under my IMDb username Littleway), on a thread appropriately entitled “Adorable”:

Yes, yes, yes, to everything posted on this thread! Jem is the living embodiment of that rare and precious creature, the Sexy Nerd. And my friends can’t fathom why I find him so charismatic, either. I’ve had an incredible crush on Alan Rickman for years (especially in the role of Severus Snape), and still do, but I must admit that Jemaine has an effect on me that no other celebrity has had in my life…. and no, I won’t tell you how old I am, but trust me, I’ve been through plenty of celebrity crushes!

OK then, at the risk of sounding like Mel, here’s what I love about Jem:

– First and foremost, the talent and the humor. He’s been described on one site as someone who can be funny just by sitting there…. I couldn’t agree more. He cracks me up whenever he’s onscreen, even when saying nothing. Just something about his facial expression — I suppose you could call it “charming bewilderment”. (Lousy description, but you know what I mean.)

– The voice. WOWIE! It’s so deep and resonant and expressive, truly distinctive. Hell, I could listen to him read the Wellington phone book and still melt into a quivering pool of…. oh, I dunno, New Zealand mussel bisque? (This is admittedly an extension of my crush on Alan, who is also known for his uniquely velvety basso.)

– The glasses. Yup, I’ve got a thing for bespectacled dudes. What can I say…. I’m just weird.

– The lips — OMG, those lips! (Need I say more?)

– That radiant, contagious smile, especially that adorable little space between the front teeth. Makes me just wanna hug him.

– The physique. For someone who refers to his own appearance as an “ogre in a library”, the guy happens to be BUILT. Loverly! (How many of you agree that Episode Five included a *very* special incentive to view over and over and over again? ^_^)

– The derriere. Come on now, don’t say you haven’t noticed! No one can fill out a pair of jeans like Jemaine. If you get a chance to see FOTC’s appearance on HBO’s One Night Stand, watch Jem shake his booty for the audience in the last few moments of “Boom!”. Even more loverly!

– The sweetness. Really, behind the humor and the crazy-silly FOTC image, there’s a lovable, innocently sexy gentleness about Jem that hints at an abidingly sweet nature. Maybe I’m just idealizing the dude, but when I read (in an article about his stage production UNTOLD TALES OF MAUI) about Jem’s deep affection for his funny, wise little Maori grandmother, it seemed like a glimpse into a truly tender heart.

All right, now I’m REALLY sounding like Mel! (And yes, I’m married too.) But it’s nice to find a discussion board where I can express — or confess — my “mishegoss” to others who can empathize, and maybe share in this delightful mass insanity known as Jemainia!

I was the one who wrote to Michael of DListed and nominated Jemaine as the Hot Slut of the Day…He was nice enough to post him! All the comments so far have been positive and I’m glad that he’s getting more recognition for his talent every day. He’s hot!!

P.S. Michael uses slut a lot… but many times he doesn’t use it in a bad way like in this case

It’s just weird to see him listed as such. He’s such a shy sweet guy.
