OMG, one of my fav Chinese restaurants happens to be on Allen Street! My husband and I go there about once a month, but we weren’t there on the 22nd, dammit….

That being said — I have mixed feelings about the whole Gawker Stalker thing. On the one hand, it’s really cool to know when our fav celebs are in our geographic area; on the other hand, unfortunately, there are some REAL celebrity-stalkers around whose intentions might be far less innocuous than those of a merely enthusiastic fan. Even some genuinely well-intentioned fans could lose perspective and forget that celebrities, too, need their own personal space.

So far — “Mel” jokes aside — most of the Flightfans I’ve come across online seem to be quite civilized and respectful. For all their (OK, our ) drooling fantasies, people who’ve recounted their meetings with Jem & Bret have been really nice about it…. one of them even mentioned that she felt Bret was extremely shy and hoped that people would respect that about him. But even in the Flightfan community, there could be some individuals who might overstep their bounds.

So, IMHO, perhaps we should steer clear of Gawker Stalker updates, and concentrate on posting the experiences of Flightfans who’ve already had the privilege of meeting Bret and/or Jem.
