The talented Rosalyn, being inspired by episode 10, wrote this ode to the guys and has graciously allowed me to post it..
Thank you Rosalyn!
ODE TO BRET AND JEMAINE
Some years ago I would’ve been out most every night
But now it seems I’m up at the crack of daylightAdult life can be hectic, that’s certainly for sure
But when did it start becoming such a mother-uckin’ bore?My brain is turning fuzzy, I crave stimulation
What I really need is something from a different nationSome humor, some music, some New Zealand-themed banter
Would perk me up quicker than a visit from SantaSo one night, on a Sunday, when most are in bed
I turn on the tele, sip some wine, maybe clear my headWhen suddenly I discover a show, quite by surprise
With some goofy weird girl, and 2 HOT foreign guysAs I watch the show, I have a revelation
Please, God, in your mercy, let it sweep the nation!Finally- no more Survivor, or Idol, or Dancing with the Stars
I’d much rather watch these Kiwi guys playing guitarsThey’re so clever, so witty, so dead-pan-alicious-
I’d even lick clean their scrambled-egg dishes!!!Of course, I love Murray, with his hay and goatee
And best friend Dave, with his sexy mouse teeSome might say that I sound similar to Mel
Not true-but if I could be Summer, my soul I would sell !!!!!!Now if they just would play an extended US tour
Maybe come to Wisconsin-or Chicago, for sureI’d see Bret in his sweatshirt, Jemaine in his glasses
But how in the HELL could I score backstage passes???!?!?!I might seem extreme in this poem I write
But it’s really all in gratitude for my improved Sunday nightsIt truly is refreshing to see talent rewarded
So my basic message will simply not be thwartedThanks Bret and Jemaine, also Kristen, Arj and Rhys
I hope for many years your series will not ceaseThank you for working as hard as you do
And bringing to television something completely newWhether it’s Wisconsin or Wellington, it really doesn’t matter
We can all appreciate some robot-themed banter!!!!!!!This poem has ended, it’s time to bid adieu
But I have one final wish- can I PLEASE someday meet you two?????!?!?!?!?!?Respectfully submitted by Roz

Hi Nicole- I don’t know if you’d call my poem talented, exactly…definitely dorky, and slightly obsessed, yes! Talented…. not so sure!!! Anyway- thanks for posting it! Also- I’d love to help you with a new site anyway I can. I’m not exactly computer ultra-literate- but, I’ll help anyway I can! Thanks again for all your work with this site! Rosalyn
PS- If anyone is interested in starting a fan club in SE Wisconsin, let me know- I would like to start one!
Hi Roz,
I think your poem is creative and sweet. Take the compliment!..
:)nicole
P.S. I’m launching a forum soon to talk about the fan club..so stay tune!
Hey Roz, you happen to be incredibly talented, and this is positively AWESOME…. couldn’t have said it better myself!
Question: Would it be OK if I posted your poem to my Yahoo group, NYConchords? I would, of course, give you full credit, as well as mentioning that it originally appears on Nicole’s FotC Completely UNofficial Fan Site. (NYConchords’ Links Page includes this site.)
Or, better yet, I’d love to have you join NYConchords and post it there yourself! Though I originally created NYConchords for Flightfans in the Noo Yawk area, we already have a few out-of-town members, and of course Conchordophiles from all over the country — heck, all over the world! — are always welcome. (If interested, go to Yahoogroups and do a search for NYConchords.)
Whatever you decide, keep those creative juices flowing and KEEP ON FOLKIN’!
Your appreciative fellow Flightfan,
Jemainiac
Hi Jemainiac- sorry for the late reply- I had trouble accessing the site yesterday. Anyways- if you want to post my poem, go right ahead! I’d feel honored! I’m just trying to figure out how to start a Chicago-area fan club- (damned if I know how to get it up and running!) Thanks for the kind words- regards, Roz
PS- I received an email on myspace from Jemainiac- is that you? LUV the name, btw!
I just wanted to chime in and say the same about the poem. It was original and very heartfelt. Good job!
Thanks Fanbase!
