Blender Magazine names the Conchords in their Hot Report 2007. Number 95 out of 100.

Flight of the Conchords are Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement — two hilariously deadpan alt-comics who call themselves “New Zealand’s fourth most popular folk-parody duo.” Years of hapless gigging (McKenzie played a minor elf in Lord of the Rings; Clement starred in Outback Steakhouse commercials) have finally paid off: Their eponymous HBO show is airing this summer in the prime, post-Entourage slot, and their album of faux-soul duets drops this fall.
Potential hotness killer: the addition of Kyle Gass
