Daryl Hall loves the Conchords

The master of Blue-Eyed Soul - Daryl Hall
Ok, I admit it. I LOVE Hall and Oates. Always have, always will. So I was very excited when I heard Daryl Hall would be doing a cameo in one of the shows. We see him in episode 10 introducing the “Flute of the Commodores”..Ha! Anyhoo, he’s great and in this interview with Pitchfork he sings the praises of the guys! He says:

Pitchfork: A lot of opportunities have come up for you lately, including cameos on TV shows. You were on Ed a few years ago, and you just did a cameo on Flight of the Conchords.

DH: Flight of the Conchords was amazing. I love that show. I love those guys. I think that’s the best show on television. They’re gigantic fans of mine, and they called me up. 90% of what they do is improv, and we just went for it. We did a little bit of scripted stuff, and I don’t know what they’re even going to use, but I did tons of improv with them, and they’re just going to pick what they want. I’m so happy to be on that show, because I think it’s just great.

The other show I was on was Will & Grace, because I’m friends with Jim Burrows, who’s this famous director who has directed Cheers and Friends and Frasier– and I’m friends with him, so he asked me to be on Will & Grace.

I like comedy. I’ll laugh at myself, I’ll do anything. I like doing that stuff. I don’t consider myself much of an actor, but if you let me be me, I will do that!
