The C answers some questions

Go to myspace and read the boys’ CAQS (I think the correct term is FAQ but I won’t quibble.) Since it’s only available to the Blog owners friends, I’ll post them below for those not on myspace.

Commonly asked questions (CAQs)

Q: How are you? (this is our most commonly asked question)
A: Good.

Q: Did you ask David Bowie to be in your episode ‘Bowie’?
A: We asked someone to ask someone to ask him. Yes.

Q: Will you be touring soon?
A: Not that soon, but soonish.

Q: Will you marry me Bret/Jemaine/Bret and Jemaine?
A: Yes.

Q: How did they do the photocopier animation in your show?
A: The director filmed the sequence of us singing in front of a white wall. He then had the each of the 250 frames that make up the sequence printed out individually. Then he had them photocopied onto photocopier paper. He then filmed to photocopier printing them out. The editor then sped up the footage so that lipsynching matched the song. So what you’re seeing in that shot is 250 pages of photocopies print out and that sped up a lot.

Q: In ‘Mugged’ it looks pretty cold. Was it cold?
A: Yes! It was freezing. Literally freezing. The water on the unit table was frozen solid and Arj’s hands were sticking to the metal of his panitball gun.

Q: Are you guys actually racist against Australians or what?
A: Not that much. They’re all right.

Q: Jemaine, I hear you’ve done some claymation, did you do the Albi animation?
A: Nope. It was done completely seperately to the rest of the show. It is not stop-motion but done with hand-made puppets. The director of that video operated the puppets with hidden wires. He then removed frames later to make it appear as though it was stop motion.

Q: Do you start off with the tunes, or with the idea for the song?
A: Either. Now you know our secret.

Q: Sometimes it seems like the episodes on your show are our of order. Are they?
A: You know how this weekend Murray had a new computer? Next week he will have his old computer. The week after he will have his new computer. Then he will have is old computer. Yes. Some of them are out of order.

Q: Did you think you would have thought of more questions to write up when you started this blog?
A: Yeah.

I think I could come up with at least a 100 more questions… half of which probably would not be for public viewing. JK. Kinda..
