Chris Addison, Lee Mack and the Flight Of The Conchords are all up for the most prestigious prize for radio comedy.
They have all been shortlisted for a Sony Award for their work last year, alongside Mitchell and Webb and Radio 1’s oneclick/comedy, the late-night showcase of new comedy talent.
Mitchell and Webb, stars of Channel 4’s Peep Show, were nominated for their Radio 4 show That Mitchell & Webb Sound, which has now been commissioned for a TV pilot.
Addison was shortlisted for his Radio 4 programme The Ape That Got Lucky, based on his Edinburgh Festival show; while the Conchords and Lee Mack made the grade for their Radio 2 shows.
The winner will be announced on May 8 at a ceremony in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
