An Emo’s Report from Ortega

Many many thanks to Ortega! Especially for letting me post these photos.

My two friends and I arrived to Emo’s around 9. As we walked in we immediately saw Jemaine and Bret talking with the crowd. They are a lot taller in person than I would have imagined actually. I stand at 6 foot and they both were taller than me.

We approached them and asked if we could have a picture with them, and they were happy enough to do! Jemaine actually took one of the pictures himself, which was really cool.

The stage performance itself was short and sweet. There was a short time when Jemaine’s guitar would not play for whatever reason - in pure Conchord’s style he still managed to keep the crowd laughing, referring to the voice from the sound booth as “God”. “Yes I tried the input, I know what an input is, just like God to think he knows everything!”

They performed 2 songs the first was (can’t think of what it was called) [*It was "Mother *uckers" --nicole] and the second was Issues (Think About It). The crowd then begged for one more song and they obliged and played “The Humans are Dead” to a great applause.

Like I said before it was short and sweet, but definitely a great show. I can’t wait to see them in a full show.
